Readglot

Terms of Use

Effective October 26, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Fedar Trukhan, the individual developer of Readglot (“we”, “us”), and apply to the Readglot app and its online services. By using Readglot you accept them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle data.

App Store users: if you got Readglot from Apple’s App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA) governs your license to use the app. These terms add the rules of our service and subscriptions; if they conflict with the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA prevails. Google Play users: these terms are your license agreement, together with Google Play’s terms of service.

1. The service

Readglot is a reader for books in foreign languages that shows translations, dictionary forms and pronunciation for words and phrases you select. Translations are generated by AI models and may be inaccurate or incomplete — use them as a learning aid, not as authoritative or professional translation. We may change, add or remove features. Some features need an internet connection.

2. Your books and content

3. Accounts

An account is optional and is created by signing in with Apple or Google. Keep access to that account secure. You can delete your Readglot account at any time in the app (Settings › Account & more › Delete account). Deleting the account does not cancel a store subscription — see section 5.

4. Acceptable use

Don’t misuse the service: no attempts to break, overload, reverse engineer or bypass limits of our servers; no automated or bulk access; no use of translations to build a competing service; no unlawful use. We may limit or suspend access that violates these terms or puts the service at risk.

5. Readglot Plus subscriptions

Readglot is free to use with limits (currently 10 phrase or sentence translations per day and 3 books in the library at a time; word translations are unlimited). Readglot Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription that removes these limits and adds premium features as they become available.

6. Intellectual property

The app, its design and our content are owned by us or our licensors and licensed, not sold, to you for personal, non-commercial use. Open-source components are used under their own licenses.

7. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, Readglot is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including accuracy of translations, uninterrupted availability or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer protection laws of your country.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or loss of data or profits, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Readglot in the 12 months before the claim (or US$10 if you paid nothing). This does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for intent or gross negligence where applicable.

9. Ending use

You can stop using Readglot at any time. We may stop providing the service or parts of it; if we discontinue Readglot Plus, we will tell you in advance where possible, and store refunds remain available under store policies.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app. Continuing to use Readglot after changes take effect means you accept them.

11. Governing law

[Governing law and venue — to be confirmed.] If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring claims in its courts.
